Joe is a lyric baritone and graduate from the masters programme in Vocal Studies and Opera programme at the Royal Northern College of Music, a leading international conservatoire, where he also obtained a first class honours degree at undergraduate level.

Joe began his musical training age 14 under Tim Harding, a vocal coach based in Dudley. Now taught by Bass-Baritone Matthew Best, an internationally renowned singer who has worked at the highest level for over 30 years, Joe always looks to expand his repertoire by exploring new genres and styles of music.

At the beginning of 2024, Joe embarked on a German arena tour with FKP Show Creations’ production of Verdi’s Aida, singing the role of ‘Il Messaggero’ in the cities of Dusseldorf and Hannover, and also as part of the chorus in front of crowds of up to 8,000 people. Joe then joined the chorus for Opera Holland Park's performances of Tosca, The Barber of Seville, Edgar and The Yeomen of the Guard this summer. He then joined the ensemble chorus in Gothic Opera's Offie-nominated production of Donizetti's Maria de Rudenz. Most recently, Joe performed the role of Monostatos with Charles Court Opera for their 20th anniversary production of Mozart's The Magic Flute in February and March. Joe will once again be joining the chorus of Opera Holland Park this summer for their productions of Lucia di Lammermoor and La Traviata.

Joe has twice performed the baritone solos in Orff's Carmina Burana, with Guernsey Choral and Orchestral society and Philomusica Choir. In December 2023, Joe performed alongside Sir Stephen Hough in a concert of his own music. He has also performed two recitals of Schubert’s masterpiece Winterreise as well as many other recitals as part of the RNCM Songsters, including two pre-concert performances at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester. Joe has also performed the baritone solos in Faure's Reqiuem, Puccini's Messa di Gloria and is looking forward to performing Vaughan-Williams Five Mystical Songs and Durufle's Requiem with Walsall Choral Society in May.

Away from singing, Joe enjoys playing the piano and is teaching himself the cello, albeit very slowly. Joe is also a photographer and enjoys taking landscape and macro shots as well as his other business in headshots and portraiture. He also supports Wolverhampton Wanderers
