2006–2008
High mezzo Kathleen Linton-Ford studied at Oxford University, then continued postgraduate vocal studies at Trinity College of Music. Operatic roles include, among others, Emilia (Otello), Hata (The Bartered Bride), Eleonora (Prima la musica), Katisha (The Mikado), Belinda (Dido & Aeneas), Suor Genovieffa (Suor Angelica), Tigrana (Edgar) and Meg Page (Falstaff: Harrow Opera, cond. Ian Caley), Coridon (Acis & Galatea) and the Mother in new opera Little Kettlehead at the 2013 Tete a tete and Grimeborne opera festivals.
Oratorio and sacred soloist work includes the Faure, Mozart and Verdi Requiems. Most recent performances in this field include the Mozart Requiem with Barts Academic Festival Choir and Orchestra (February 2014) and Vivaldi’s Gloria in September 2014 with the St Margaret’s Singers, Tonbridge (cond. Ian Turner).
She has a long-standing collaborator in pianist Erik Azzopardi and together they have performed programmes of Debussy, Faure, Mozart and Mendelssohn song around London. Performance venues include Southwark Cathedral, St Olave’s Hart Street, St Dunstan’s Fleet Street, and The Little Proms in Soho.
Kathleen is committed to artistic outreach, and is an artist with Music in Hospitals and Lost Chord. She sings with everal professional choirs and runs a vocal ensemble.
