Kristina Nikiforova is a mezzo-soprano with stage experience in both Russia and the United Kingdom. A graduate of the Russian University of Theatre Arts (GITIS), where she studied under D. A. Bertman, she began her career at the Astrakhan State Theatre of Opera and Ballet. Her repertoire there included Kate Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), Inez (Il Trovatore), Brigitta (Iolanta), Masha (The Government Inspector), and Tatiana (Eugene Onegin). She also covered major roles such as Iolanta (Iolanta), Marfa (The Tsar’s Bride), Mimì (La Bohème) and Nedda (Pagliacci). Since relocating to the UK in 2021, Kristina has appeared in concerts and productions with Barefoot Opera Company, participated in a masterclass at the National Opera Studio, and in 2025 made her British stage debut with West Green House Opera in Verdi’s Macbeth.
