'His nemesis Abigail wore her wickedness with pride in Lottie Craven's fluid and natural performance... [she] held the stage' - Peter Reed, Opera News (2024)
…leaving Lottie Craven's Susannah to carry the central conflict. Craven has a lovely, watchable ease to her, an unforced freshness. Her meatier soprano, silhouetted against the lighter voices, was striking, and she deployed colour and tone thoughtfully to carry us from light-hearted sibling play to the defiant rage of the end. The showpieces ‘Ain't it a pretty night?' and 'The trees on the mountains were given plenty of shape. - Alexandra Coghlan, Opera News (2023)
Lottie Craven superb in the title role. A wonderful production and performance of Carlisle Floyd's masterpiece. - Clay Harris (2023)
