Lithuanian born tenor, Maksim Pogrebniak, made his European debut in Stuttgart, Germany singing Don Curzio in Mozart’s “Le nozze di Figaro”. Since then he has interpreted various roles such as Lippo Fiorentino in K. Weill’s ”Street Scene”, and Ferrando in Mozart’s “Cosi fan tutte” under the direction of Olivier Tambosi and conductor, Richard Wien.
July 2019 took the tenor to the Concert hall in Munich where he was seen as Lacouf in Francis Poulenc’s “The Breasts of Tiresias”. Shortly thereafter in March of 2020; he was scheduled to make his debut as Snout in Britten’s opera “A Mid summer Night’s Dream” at the Prinzregentheatre in Munich, however due to the pandemic it was unfortunately cancelled.

Maksim Pogrebniak completed his Bachelor degree in Vocal Performance at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre under the tutelage of Prof. Virgilijus Noreika.
As his Vilnius debut, Mr. Pogrebniak sang the role of Ruiz in G. Verdi’s opera “Il Trovatore” which led to his further involvement with the Vilnius City Opera in the productions of W.A. Mozart “Cosi fan tutte”, G. Puccini “Tosca”, and C.Gounod “Faust” all directed by Dalia Ibelhauptaite.

In 2015 he was accepted into the European ERASMUS program to study with the world-renowned tenor, KS Prof. Francisco Araiza at the Music and Performing Arts University in Stuttgart, Germany.

A year later the tenor shortly returned back to his home country for a concert tour of G.B. Perfolesi “Stabat mater” with the St. Petersburg Conservatory Orchestra under the baton of Aleksej Vasiljev, than returning back a year later to Stuttgart, Germany where he was accepted into the Masters Program in Opera studying under Prof. Teru Yoshihara.
