Italian soprano, Marcella graduated at the Conservatorio N. Paganini of Genoa in 2016. In September 2015 she won the second prize at the “Giovanna Mutti” Competition for chamber music. In August 2016 and July 2018 she debuted as Pamina in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte and as Rosalinde in Strauss’s Die Fledermaus c/o the Lyric Opera Studio of Weimar directed by Maestro Damon Nestor Ploumis.
She is currently studying at the Royal College of Music, London for a Master of Performance with Sally Burgess, where she is an RCM scholarship Holder supported by the Alice Templeton Trust.
In the last years she was also under the guidance of the italian mezzo-soprano Sonia Ganassi.
She sang as Drusilla in Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea and as Adina in Donizetti’s L’Elisir d’amore in the Genoa Conservatory productions.
At the College she participated at different projects including singing for screen composers, she was the soloist for the King’s College of London and she won the London Gateway. This summer she sang at the Golfo Festival, Italy, where she performed contemporary music of the Italian composer Silvia Bianchera.
Marcella is also graduated in Psychology at the Catholic University of Milan.
Her next commitments include the Farinelli’s project in collaboration with the Royal College of Arts in London and Paris; a solo recital at the National Liberal Club, the role of Rosalinde in the College’s Opera Scenes in February. Since September 2017 she has a stable duo with the pianist Danilo Mascetti.
