The German Soprano Margareta Köllner just completed her master's degree with big distinction in opera singing at the Koninklijk Conservatorium of Antwerp in October 2018 after successfully completing her bachelor's degree at the Conservatoire Royale de Liège.
Since September 2015 she has been a member of the Opera Academy (MM Academy) at the Opera House in Brussels, where she has participated in numerous opera productions and concerts. For example, she was one of the “Vestale” in "La Vestale" by Gaspare Spontini conducted by Alessandro De Marchian, in "Juditha Triumphans" by Antonio Vivaldi with the Vienna Baroque Orchestra conducted by Andrea Marcon, in "Dialogues des Carmelites" by Francis Poulenc conducted by Alain Antinoglu and in the concertante performance of Anton Rubenstein's "The Demon" conducted by Mikhail Tatarnikov. Master classes with José Van Dam, Roberta Alexander, Stephanie d'Oustrac, Roger Vignoles, Christophe Prégardien, Malcolm Martineau and Christiane Karg and workshops on contemporary music with Pascal Dusapin complete her training.
In addition to her studies, Margareta Köllner performs regularly in opera productions and concerts at home and abroad. In February 2018 she sang the "Pamina" in Mozart's opera "The Magic Flute" in the "Zwarte Zaal" of the Royal Conservatory in Antwerp, where she appeared as Contessa in "Le Nozze di Figaro" in 2017. In September 2017 she played the role of Maria Tesselschade in Hendrik Andriessen's comic opera "De Spiegel uit Venetie" at the Stadtschouwenbourgh in Haarlem/Netherlands and in March 2017 the role of the little fox (Liščička) in Janacek's opera "The Cunning Little Vixen" under the direction of Antonello Manacorda at the Castle Tour & Taxis (production of the opera La Monnaie) in Brussels. In May 2018 she sang the "Konstanze" from Mozart's "Entfuhrung aus dem Serail" with the Chamber Orchestra of the City of Gelsenkirchen as part of a Mozart Gala Concert in Schloss Horst. In March 2018 she made her debut with the soprano role in the world premiere of Carsten Braun's "Gloria" and Beethoven's Mass in C Major at the Philharmonie in Cologne.
In October 2018 she formed a Lied-Dup with the pianist Thomas Boodts with whom she is doing several concerts in Germany, Belgium and Switzerland
