Markel Rashad Williams (Bass-Baritone) has performed in numerous operas, musicals, and concerts with such companies as the Greensboro Opera, North Carolina Opera, North Carolina Symphony, and the Greensboro Master Chorale. In 2022, Markel is making his solo debut with the company performing the role of the Sergente in La Bohéme. Markel has performed the role of the Comandante in Manon Lescaut with the North Carolina Opera. Markel covered the role of Henry Brown and Peter Still in the North Carolina Opera’s 2022 production of Sanctuary Road. Markel has also performed as a concert Baritone with the North Carolina Symphony. Markel regularly participates as a featured soloist for the Opera About Town Concert Series with the North Carolina Opera.
