Carmen, Linneateatern “Matilde Wallevik succeeded in mediating Carmen’s personality with accuracy, yes at times she was Carmen! Her mezzo voice rang with both power and beauty.” Barometern, Kalmar “The stage is dominated by Matilde Wallevik. She sings with stunning beauty with her gorgeously dark soprano voice. When she makes her entrance with the Habanera one shudders with pleasure. She performs Carmen as Carmen should be.” Smålandsposten, Växjö
Cosi fan Tutte, Tiroler Landesteater: “As Dorabella there was Matilde Wallevik- pretty as a picture -a tall young lady from the far North with a notably beautiful timbre of voice and rounded tones. Her aria in the 2nd Act was a feast for the ear without compare.” Diettmar Plattner, BTV, Austria
Partenope, Cambridge Handel Opera: “…and Matilde Wallevik, beautifully velvety of tone as the lovesick Prince of Rhodes.” Rodney Milnes, The Times / “Matilde Wallevik sang Armando’s music with charming warmth and purity of tone” Winton Dean, Opera Magazine
