Maximilian Catalano is a British/Italian baritone based in Hertfordshire and London currently studying for a Master’s degree at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama under the tutelage of David Pollard. Having graduated from Cardiff University with a degree in International Relations and Politics Maximilian was advised by then-teacher Gareth Dafydd Morris to pursue classical singing at conservatoire level. In May of 2023, Maximilian performed as Schaunard in Aylesbury Opera’s production of La Boheme and has since performed as Lepporello, Fritz (die Tote Stadt) in the Guildhall opera scenes and performed in the Chorus of the Dorset Opera festival to debut Paul Carr’s ‘Under the Greenwood Tree’. Maximilian has worked extensively with local Choral societies and had sang as a soloist with Tring and Chorleywood societies’ ‘Faure’s Requiem’, and frequently with the Hillingdon Choral Society. Maximilian has received support from Chipperfield and Harpenden music foundations and will be performing with the latter next summer in a fundraising concert.

In October of 2024, Maximilian Catalano sang with the Madras Guild of Performing Arts and the Gustav Mahler Symphony Orchestra of Colombo to debut Haydn's Creation in India in the roles of Raffael and Adam. this coming year he will be performing the Guildhall Opera School chorus for 'Die Fledermaus' directed by Ashley Dean and conducted by Dominic Wheeler. In November he will also be working with Iain Burnside in an english song recital of Housman settings and in 2025 will work with Graham Johnson in a Song Guild recital of pieces by Reynaldo Hahn.
