Naomi Kilby studied at Birmingham Conservatoire and the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest. Professional Opera credits include regular chorister for Opera Holland Park, including the role of Woodland Sprite in the UK premiere of Picker’s Fantastic Mr Fox (2010, revived 2011), L’acquaiola in I Gioelli Della Madonna (2013), Novizia in Suor Angelica, Midinette in Il Tabarro and Voce Interna in L'Amore dei tre re (2015). Buxton Gilbert & Sullivan Festival 2011 & 2012 (cover Yum-Yum 2012 Festival), and an ongoing tour of Too Hot To Handel for Armonico Consort. Roles include Despina Cosi Fan Tutte St Albans Chamber Opera, Prima Sorella Cercatrice Suor Angelica Talent Unlimited Festival, Adele Die Fledermaus Opera South East, the title role in Alcina Scarlet Opera, Clorinda Cinderella and Bertha Barber of Seville (or Salisbury) Opera Up Close and Belinda and Second Woman Dido & AeneasAd Parnassum. In 2012, Naomi formed the company Opera Alegría culminating with their inaugural production The Medium by Menotti, singing the role of Monica. Their 2014 production of Mozart's Bastien & Bastienne with The Impresario (singing the role of Madame Herz), has been revivied several times. On the Oratorio platform, Naomi has been Soprano soloist for many choirs both in the Midlands and also in Sussex. Favourite works include Haydn’s Nelson Mass, Mozart’s Mass in C Minor and Schubert’s Stabat Mater. Naomi also works with the charity Lost Chord, performing music therapy recitals in care homes for people suffering from Dementia.
