Cambridgeshire born mezzo soprano, Natalie Davies, began her musical education as a flautist. She is currently a scholarship student in her first year on the Guildhall School of Music & Drama’s Artist Masters programme, where she studies under the guidance of John Evans. In 2016 she completed her undergraduate training at the Guildhall School and was awarded a First Class Honours degree, and received a distinction in her final recital. Operatic highlights include the role of Fag Hag in workshOPERA’s 2016 production of Salorian’s immersive opera Boys of Paradise for the Tete a Tete Festival, and the role of Gold-Tressed Maiden in the world premiere of Maxwell-Davies’ opera The Hogboon, alongside the London Symphony Orchestra and Sir Simon Rattle. Recent recitals include Haydn’s Arianna a Naxos at the St Lawrence Jewry August Music Festival and Schumann’s Frauenliebe und –Leben at the inaugural Devon Song Festival. She is currently looking forward to performing the roles of Cherubino (The Marriage of Figaro), and Dorothée (Cendrillon) in scenes at the Guildhall School, and several performances of Brahms’ and Bridge’s songs for alto and viola across London.
