Pedro Arroyo graduated from the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of music in 2017 as a Doctor of Musical Arts, where he studied with tenor Thomas Baresel. Before that, he studied with soprano Zoraida López at the Puerto Rico Conservatory of music. He has performed in master classes with David Daniels, Sherrill Milnes, Mignon Dunn, Maria Spacagna, Ermanno Mauro, Katharine Goeldner, Justino Díaz, William Bolcom, and Margot Garrett. In Ohio, he performed the following roles: Raguel in Jonathan Dove's "Tobias and the Angel", Voice #6 in Conrad Susa's "Transformations", Paco in Manuel De Falla's "La vida breve", Alfredo in Verdi's "La Traviata", Remendado in Bizet's "Carmen", Fourth Jew in Strauss' "Salome", Parpignol in Puccini's "La Bohème", as well as the solos for Mozart's "Requiem", Bach's "Magnificat", Händel's "Israel in Egypt", and Ariel Ramírez's "Misa Criolla", Elsewhere, he has performed the roles of Ferrando in Mozart's "Così fan tutte" (Arkansas), the Prince in Dvorak's "Rusalka" (Halifax & Calgary, Canada), Dr. Cajus in Verdi's "Falstaff", Fernando in Amadeo Vives' "Doña Francisquita", Mayor Upfold in Britten's "Albert Herring" (San Juan, PR), as well as Anselmo in the World Premiere of "Frenesí" by Puerto Rican composer Johanny Navarro (Washington DC). In the summer of 2017, he was a Young Artist at Cincinnati Opera, and performed the role of "Mourner Man" and "Henry Ford" in Robert Xavier Rodríguez's "Frida. Since August, 2017, he has been a first tenor in the Choir of the Meininger State Theater.
