"…especially with Rachael Liddell's stoic Elinor. The tentative affection between her and James Beddoe's meek Edward is sweetly and delicately rendered. Elinor's lullaby Cry Baby Cry, sung to an ill Marianne in Act II, is a particular standout." —The Reviews Hub (2025)

"As Elinor, mezzo Rachael Liddell is consummate at saying the quiet bits out louder, in a lyric range that allows a shaft of deep passion and equally explosive, but more intense feelings to arise. Liddell embraces darker timbres in keeping with her part's reflective and internalised broiling: but again deploys a full soprano range when required. Either privately, when Marianne is crossed or crosses her, or when she finds out Edward's been long yoked to Lucy Steele." —View from the Gods (2025)

"Liddell is a masterclass in acting through song, showing every facet of Elinor's character with a stunning mezzo soprano voice... but there's an answering anchor-point of stillness and quiet truth in Rachael Liddell's Eleanor. Resisting caricature while all around are flinging themselves at it, Liddell supplies some much-needed heart." —The i Paper (2025)

"No less of a performance of well-defined characters are given by the two sisters, Rachel Liddell's Elinor is a patient saint of stoicism and womanly virtue." -Plays To See (2025)

"Rachael Liddell imbues Elinor with quiet strength and dignity, balancing restraint with vulnerability, while her lyrical voice elevates every scene she inhabits." -London Pub Theatres (2025)

"Rachel Liddell is near perfect as Elinor, reserved and intelligent contrasting with Ledger's more impetuous and daring Marrianne." -Theatre and Art Reviews (2025)

"The cast is fantastic, with Rachael Liddell's Elinor, Ledger's Marianne, and the chemistry between them particular highlights." —The i Paper (2025)
