Rebeca van Koert started her artistic development at the age of 5.
She started with classical ballet lessons at studio Pola Lichtendahl.
When she turned 9 she started her piano education, first with Jan Lichtendahl and afterwards with Ernst Stolz.
She started with singing in the Maria van Eik en Duinen congregation, both as a choir singer and as a cantor.
Rebeca started taking classical singing lessons in 2010 with Bulgarian soprano Dobrinka Yankova, with whom she officially continued her classical singing training at the conservatory of Utrecht in 2011. In 2016 she graduated with a mark 9 (out of 10).
Rebeca is currently enrolled in a Master of Music program at ZUYD Conservatory of Maastricht where she is specialising and opera. Her main subject teacher is Susanne Schimmack.

In recent years, Rebeca took several masterclasses with Grammy winner Cheryl Studer, on personal invitation. She also worked with Eva Maria Westbroek on the role of Sieglinde (Die Walküre, R. Wagner).
She has also been coached by Jard van Nes and Wiebke Goëtjes. She recently participated in masterclasses with Maarten Koningsberger and Gidon Saks. Subsequently she received singing lessons from Gidon Saks.

Rebeca made her operatic debut as Gertrud in the opera Hänsel und Gretel by Humperdinck. She did this in a Dutch adaptation for children on the Grachtenfestival in Amsterdam in collaboration with the Hojotoho Opera Studio.
In productions of the HKU Rebeca has performed the roles of Dritter Knabe (Die Zauberflöte, W.A. Mozart), La Badessa (Suor Angelica, G. Puccini) and Phani (Les Indes Galantes, J.P. Rameau).

The concert repertoire of Rebeca consists of soprano solos in masses and oratorios of Holst, Howells, Mendelssohn, Saint-Saëns, Verdi and Vivaldi and songs by Barber, Brahms, Copland, Debussy, Duparc, Faure, Hahn, Mendelssohn, Rachmaninoff, Wagner and Wolf.

On the occasion of attended masterclasses Rebeca has performed in the Netherlands, Germany, Austria and Greece.
