Ricardo then moved to London (where he is still based) to study with italian mezzo-soprano, Laura Sarti at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, having finished the MMus in Vocal Performance in July 2011.
Throughout his studies, Ricardo also had the opportunity to work with renowned teachers and coaches such as Patricia MacMahon, Robin Bowman, Enza Ferrari and the singers Della Jones, Montserrat Caballé, Teresa Berganza and Emma Kirkby.

He currently studies with the Welsh tenor, Dennis O'Neill.

Equally at home in Opera, Oratorio and Recital, he has performed in many portuguese and british theatres and concert halls, for several portuguese and foreign opera companies such as Dramma per Musica, Ópera Norte and Wexford Festival Opera, amongst others. He has sung under the baton of conductors like Jean-Sébastien Béreau, Carlos Izcaray, Cristopher König, David Corkhill, Gavin Carr, Tomasz Toraczyk, Andrew Bisantz and António Saiote, amongst others. He also had the privilege of working with stage directors like Stephen Barlow, Darren Royston, Roberto Recchia and Michael Gieleta, amongst others.
