Nationality:
British, French

“Best of all was Baritone Samuel de Beck Spitzer, who unfailingly held attention as a creepy, nasty Scarpia (as he should be) and sang with richness and imagination.” Robert Beale, Manchester Evening News
Carmen: “Few matadors can have entered so dramatically and held so much sway as Samuel de Beck Spitzer as Escamillo” Mal Morris, Lancashire Post
Le Nozze di Figaro: “Another revelation was the British singer Samuel de Beck Spitzer in the role of Count Almaviva. Spitzer, to my understanding, though British, is currently in Israel and is due to perform with the Israeli Opera in their upcoming season. He is a welcome addition to the world of Opera in Israel, with a beautiful and flexible voice, this is an impressive performer with a superb acting ability." Omer Shomroni, Globs
Nabucco: “My favorite part of the performance was the Act Three duet between Abigaille and Nabucco. Not only did both Diana Vivian and Samuel de Beck Spitzer have the perfect tone of voice for the roles, but they are also superb singers. Spitzer communicated his physical and mental breakdown very convincingly” Nicolas Bartlett, Opera Talent
Wiener Blut: “Samuel de Beck Spitzer’s doltish Prince showed flashes of comic genius” Robert Thicknesse, Opera Now
