Sarah Rappoport is a 20 year old mezzo-soprano from Ticino, Switzerland currently studying at the Royal Northern College of Music with Elizabeth Ritchie as an undergraduate.

Sarah’s operatic repertoire includes Zweite Knabe in Die Zauberflöte, (Berlin Opera Academy), Papagena* in Die Zauberflöte (Berlin Opera Academy), Beth Slater in Silverwood (RNCM), and Koukouli* in L’Etoile (RNCM).
Additionally, Sarah has performed in a scene as Dorabella in Cosi Fan Tutte at RNCM.
In summer 2025, Sarah will sing with Grange Park Opera in the chorus of Simon Boccanegra, starring Sir Simon Keenlyside, Mazeppa, Madama Butterfly and a new piece by Nishat Khan – Taj Mahal.

Alongside staged productions, Sarah enjoys performing as a concert soloist. Previous featured soloist credits include Handel’s Messiah (Tallis Consort). Sarah also sings as an ensemble singer, often as a guest with the RNCM Chamber Choir and Tallis Consort, and has performed a wide variety of choral repertoire. Prior to commencing her studies at the RNCM, Sarah had frequent engagements as a soloist with Orchestra OperaViva and Orchestra Della Svizzera Italiana performing in a concert production of Die Zauberflöte as Papagena in 2019.

As a recitalist, Sarah has performed at with Lerici Music Festival in their ‘Memoria E Speranza’ project in a solo recital singing Julianna’s Hall’s A World Turned Upside Down in 2024 and looks forward to returning to the festival in 2025. As a collaborative performer, Sarah has performed in chamber music recitals with instruments such as harp and is very passionate about song repertoire.
