"Rosina is possibly the most demanding role; she must appeal to the audience while also demonstrating the grit that enables her to survive Bartolo's abuse. Mezzo Sarah Richmond excelled in the part: her intelligent singing conveyed the determination of her character, and her consistently supple and finely shaped coloratura portrayed the kaleidoscope of feelings endured by her character. Brava." Opera Now (2023)
Winner of the 2021 Toronto Mozart Vocal Competition and finalist at the 2022 Montserrat Caballe Competition in Teatro Real, mezzo Sarah Richmond is known for her emotional engagement, with Opera Now reviewing "intelligent singing conveyed the determination of her character, and her consistently supple and finely shaped coloratura portrayed the kaleidoscope of feelings endured by her character.
