Savannah Gordon, mezzo-soprano, hails from Clifton Park, New York. Ms. Gordon has received degrees from University at Albany where she earned her Bachelor of Arts and studied with Frances Wittmann and from Ohio University, where she studied with Andrew Ryker and received her Masters of Music degree. In 2022, Savannah was cast as Ruth in Shuffle Along with Harlem Opera Theater, and performed with Moon River Opera where she played the role of Schaunard in a gender bending casting of La Bohème. In the Summer of 2022, Savannah spent time in Charleston, SC where she sang in the ensemble of the world premiere production of Omar with Spoleto Festival USA. In 2023, Savannah performed as Elsa in the world premiere of The Pirate’s Daughter with Romanza Lyric Opera, and returned to be a member of the ensemble of Omar at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. During the Summer, Ms. Gordon performed as Dinah in Leonard Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti with SAS Performing Albany, NY. Last The Metropolitan Opera Arts, and held a recital with the Capital District Latinos in season, Savannah made her house debut at The Metropolitan Opera in the ensemble of their productions Fire Shut Up In My Bones and Orfeo Ed Eurydice.
This Season, Savannah rejoins The Metropolitan Opera in the ensemble of their production Fidelio.
