Originally from Switzerland, soprano Solange Sierro pursued her studies in Neuchâtel and later in Zurich, before establishing herself as a regular performer in concerts and opera productions across Europe. Recognized early in her training for her qualities as a soloist, she was awarded the Friedl Wald Foundation scholarship in Basel.

Driven by a genuine passion for opera, she has embodied several major roles in the repertoire: Adina (L’elisir d’amore by Donizetti) in Bergamo under the baton of Davide Bottarelli, the Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte by Mozart) in Weimar with Tim Ribchester, and Gilda (Rigoletto by Verdi) in Vienna, as part of the Vienna Opera Festival conducted by Toby Purser.

On the concert stage, she has distinguished herself in works such as Mozart’s Great C-minor Mass and Bach’s St Matthew Passion. Always eager to explore new soundscapes, she is also committed to contemporary creation, notably with cute and shiny by Russian composer Sergei Leonov and Ohne Kunst kein Leben by Swiss composer Tullio Zanovello.

Most recently, she has expanded her artistic scope into chamber music alongside long-time friend and collaborator, pianist Roberta Michela. From their shared passion for vocal repertoire was born Duo Opale, a promising project dedicated to works for voice and piano. Their program Liebe & Frühling, bringing together music by Strauss, Schubert, Debussy, Boulanger, and others, has already been presented in Geneva and later in Sion as part of the RTS Espace 2 Schubertiade, a biennial event of Swiss Radio and Television.
