Originally from Berkshire, Susanna completed her BMus in Vocal Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire
of Music and Dance and continued onto the Postgraduate Artist Diploma course as a Kathleen Roberts
and Eve Malpass Vocal Scholar under the tutelage of Alison Wells.
Operatic roles include Rowan The Little Sweep and Lady-in-Waiting Macbeth
(Blackheath Halls Opera), Ruth Ruddigore (Charles Court Opera), Chief Hen and
Grasshopper Cunning Little Vixen and Second Singing Apple (cover) The Little Green
Swallow (British Youth Opera), Marzelline Fidelio (Guildford Opera), Zerlina Don
Giovanni (Park Opera) and Judith Weir’s King Harald’s Saga at the Barbican’s Pit
Theatre in collaboration with Trinity Laban and the Puppet Centre.
In 2016, Susanna was involved in two world premiers: covering the role of Alyson in a national tour
of The Rattler for Mahogany Opera Group and creating the role of Nance in Stephen McNeff’s new opera Banished.
Concert highlights include soprano soloist in Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle at the Savile Club; a recital for Yette Parker Young Artists and Trinity Laban students at Blackheath Halls and Elijah at St John’s Smith Square, conducted by Edward Gardner.
Susanna has previously enjoyed taking part in Workshops with British Youth Opera,
the Chroma Ensemble and Annabel Arden and Toby Sedgwick in
preparation for their work at Glyndebourne on the Barber of Seville.
Susanna has sung in Masterclasses with Susan Bullock, Sally Matthews, Matthew
Rose, Janis Kelly and David Gowland.
