OLYRIX (The role of Susanna is entrusted to Tereza Gevorgyan, who makes short work of it, with her expressive gaze, both sweet and piercing, her smile that never leaves her face, and above all her voice with its flowery timbre and rich mid-range, which perfectly suits this falsely innocent character. OLYRIX) (2025)
“The ‘ah! It’s this one’ aria from this opera is O Mio Babbino Caro. Tereza Gevorgyan delivers it marvellously and miserably, huddled against a wall. It’s bleak and beautiful.” Lauretta, ‘Gianni Schicchi’, Opera North THE REVIEWS HUB (2019)
“Gevorgyan was spectacular in her account of the role, giving us plenty of charm and a winning way with the role’s roulades.” Oscar, ‘Un ballo in maschera’, Grange Park Opera PLANETHUGILL (2018)
“However, it was Tereza Gevorgyan who dominated the evening as the king’s all-seeing secretary Oscar, a trouser role and the only character given a measure of physical freedom in Albery’s curiously stolid staging. The Armenian soprano’s attractive timbre contrasted happily with that of Miksch in their shared scenes and her agility, both physical and vocal, aerated the prevailing stuffiness. She lifted the whole opera with a brilliantly sustained presence that was ambiguous on every level.” WHATS ON STAGE (2018)
“The vocal highlight was Armenian soprano Tereza Gevorgyan’s jaunty Oscar, superbly vibrant, coloratura thrown off with ease.” Oscar, Opera North BACHTRACK (2018)
“Tereza Gevorgyan’s Lisette seemed like Puccini’s answer to Despina, decidedly pert but lacking a Don Alfonso. Deliciously sung and acted, this was a wonderful OHP debut. She combines stage presence well in excess of her size with complete immersion in her role.” Lisette, ‘La Rondine’, Opera Holland Park SEEN AND HEARD INTERNATIONAL (2017)
Highlights of 2023 included ADINA L’elisir d’amore on tour for Diva Opera, and she returned to them in 2024 for ROSINA in ‘Il barbiere di Siviglia’. She also covered and sang FIORILLA Il Turco in Italia for Glyndebourne Tour and this year returns to Diva for SUSANNA.
