Swedish lyric tenor Theodor Uggla is currently studying his first year of Master in in Performance at the Royal College of Music in London, under the guidance of Dinah Harris. Theodor is one of the recipients of Anders Walls Confidencen-scholarship 2019.

Theodor began his training in Stockholm, his hometown, for opera singer Anders Bergström and later for court singer Björn Asker in Copenhagen. These studies were during three years combined with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics at Lund University. After graduating 2016, Theodor made the decision to sing full time at Malmö Academy of Music, under the guidance of Britta Johansson, something he has never regretted.

During his second year in Malmö, the autumn of 2017, Theodor made his operatic debut at Wermland Opera where he sang the role of Nicolio in their production of Bohuslav Martinůs opera “The Greek Passion”. The following year he was also soloist together with Malmö Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra. He was also invited by the Swedish Royal Court to sing songs written by the swedish royal family during the 200 year anniversary of the royal family in Pau (France).

Since the start of his studies in London, Theodor have been chosen to perform at concerts at Royal College of Music, as well as concerts at other institutions in London. This summer he will perform at Wilton’s Music Hall’s jubilee festival, under the guidance of English National Opera.
