Thomas is at the Royal Northern College of Music studying for his Maters under the tutelage of Peter Alexander Wilson, generously supported by the Richard Newitt Fund and the A&N Kendall Award.
He has performed with the chorus of Opera North and the National Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company. Whilst at the RNCM, he has sung roles in Street Scene, Cosí fan tutti, Billy Budd and The Cunning Little Vixen.
