21 year old British baritone Tom Mole is currently a fourth year undergraduate at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. In September 2019, he will start his masters degree on the prestigious opera programme at the Guildhall. He studies with John Evans. As an Opera Holland Park Young Artist, he will sing the role of Count Horn in Verdi’s Un Ballo in Maschera in June 2019.
In September 2018 he sang the role of Madhouse Innkeeper and covered the role of Nick Shadow for British Youth Opera’s production of The Rake’s Progress at the Peacock Theatre (Lionel Friend, conductor; Stephen Unwin, director). In March 2018, he played the roles of Bartolo and Antonio in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro for Goodenough College (Michael Poll, conductor; Barbara Poll, director). Other roles include Pluto (Orpheus in the Underworld, Guildhall School, 2018), Pangloss* (British Youth Opera Gala, 2018), Mountararat and Private Willis (Iolanthe, East Surrey Choral Society, 2017), and Angelotti (Tosca, Piggot’s Festival, 2017).
Future engagements include singing the role of Snug in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, for the Guildhall Opera School (Dominic Wheeler, conductor; Martin Lloyd-Evans, director), and performing in recital for Graham Johnson’s Song Guild Concert Series (March 2019)
