British baritone Wesley Biggs is a 2017 Britten-Pears Young Artist and is in demand throughout the classical repertoire in the U.K. He recently appeared as: Marcello, La Bohème (Arcadian Opera), The Jailer, Tosca (Nevill Holt Opera) Vater, Hänsel und Gretel (Leamington Sinfonia), Papageno, Die Zauberflöte (RCMIOS - Opera Scenes), Death, Savitri (Shrewsbury Cantata) and Simone, Gianni Schicchi (Opera Alberelli)
Wesley is highly sought for the concert platform and recent engagements include: Elijah (Shrewsbury Cantata), Verdi’s Requiem (Redland Green Choir), Ein Deutsches Requiem (English Chamber Choir), Mozart’s Requiem (Orpheus Choir), Handel's Messiah (Market Harborough Choral Society) and Vaughan Williams' Dona Nobis Pacem (Ludlow Orchestra).
Whilst juggling his busy schedule, Wesley continues his studies at the Royal College of Music on the Master of Performance course, where he is an RCM Award Holder supported by The Sussex Scholarship as well as receiving generous support from The Kathleen Trust, The George and Thomas Henry Salter Trust and The Josephine Baker Trust. Wesley studies under the direction of his Vocal Professor Justin Lavender and Repertoire Coach Stephen Varcoe.
