Mr. William Weidner is a young and rising star of passion and dedication, making his way upward to take his place as an operatic baritone, generating a rich and powerful sound to resonate within the hearts of his audiences. He performed this summer with Berlin Opera Academy in their Opernfest Production of “Don Giovanni”, and in the Spring of 2019 in two of Gian Carlo Menotti’s operas. First as the husband in Amelia al Ballo, and as Bob in The Old maid and the Theif. Mr Weidner hopes to use his passion for music, and his other culminating life experiences, to breath life back into the art of opera music, and to make it accessible to the next generation of young listeners William performed in 2017 As Death in Gustav Holst’s opera Savitri, presenting a chilling, yet spiritually light depiction of the Hindu god of death. Then in 2018 as Nardo/Roberto in Mozarts La Finta Giardiniera, Mr. Weidner gave his audiences a heartwarming comic relief, as the disguised servant of Sandrina, pining for the affections of his Serpetta.
William Weidner began his studied classical singing at the San Francisco Conservatory of music, under the Tutelage of Dr. Hellen Dilworth. After three years, he then went on to continue honing his craft at the Ruth Asawa San Francisco School of the arts. From there, we went on to earn his Bachelor of Music at San Francisco State University in 2011, and joined the United States Army, bringing his passion for music to the front lines. William Weidner left the United States Army reserves 2 years ago and received his master’s degree in music performancein the spring of 2019.
