Zita graduated from Royal Holloway University of London with First Class Honours in Music, continuing studies in Florence and Berlin. A Britten-Pears Young Artist and finalist in the John Kerr Award for English Song (2016), Zita won first prize in the Emmy Destinn Young Singers Award for Czech song and Opera in 2017.
Since 2020, Zita has been in the ensemble of Opéra Grand Avignon, singing roles in Mireille (Gounod), Peter Grimes (Britten) and Idomeneo (Mozart). Recent operatic engagements include a return to Longborough Festival Opera to cover the role of Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte, Mozart), having previously sung Giunone (La Calisto, Cavalli). This summer Zita sang the roles of Antonia (Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Offenbach) for Kentish Opera and Mimi (La Bohème, Puccini) at Rhosygilwen Manor. Previously, Zita has sung with Opera Holland Park, Opera Della Luna, Opera Australia and the Buxton Festival.
Zita has recently returned from a season with Wexford Festival Opera where she sang the role of Mrs Saker in the world premiere of The Master by Alberto Caruso and ensemble in La Tempesta (Fromental Halévy), Lalla-Roukh (Félicien David) and Armida (Dvořák).
