Betty is a versatile British soprano whose recital repertoire ranges from Renaissance lute song to 20th-Century Polish & Slovakian song. She collaborates most often with pianists Jonathan Powell and Pavel Timofeyevky, with whom she has performed across the South-East and at several European festivals.

Opera credits include Belinda (Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas for Vache Baroque, St Martin-in-the-Fields, Woodhouse Opera), Flora (Britten’s The Turn of the Screw for Dartington Festival), The Model (Alastair White’s WEAR, world premiere for Tête à Tête Festival), Amor (Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice for New Sussex Opera) and covering Zerlina (Mozart’s Don Giovanni for HeadFirst Productions).

Oratorio highlights include Haydn’s Missa in Tempore Belli (c. Gianluca Marciano) for the 2023 Al Bustan Festival in Lebanon, Mozart’s Requiem (c. Jennifer Sterling) at St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Michal in Handel’s Saul (c. Laurence Cummings) at Dartington, Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle (c. Gianluca Marciano) at Lerici Music Festival in Italy, and Bach’s St. John Passion (c. Tom Hammond-Davies) for Oxford Bach Soloists. Other solo oratorio performances include J. S. Bach’s Magnificat, Bach’s Cantatas BWV 19, 80 & 211, Handel’s Messiah, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Fauré’s Requiem, Brahms’ Requiem and Will Todd’s Mass in Blue. Gala concert appearances include Cadogan Hall, St. John’s Smith Square and Queen’s House Greenwich. She has toured extensively as a consort singer with groups including Oxford Voices and the Hannover Band. She appears as soprano soloist on the Pan Classics CD of Pelham Humfrey’s Symphony Anthems (c. Edward Higginbottom) and the EM Records world premiere CD of C. V. Stanford’s Mass in G.

Alongside singing, Betty works as a creative producer; she co-founded Vache Baroque (2020) and Philomel Creative Circle (2019). Betty studies voice privately with Antonio Lemmo, having studied previously at GSMD and on the Barock Vokal programme in Mainz (Germany). She received a Music BA Hons degree from Oxford University.
