Rosanna Cooper is a Mezzo-Soprano currently studying for a BMus at the Royal College of Music under Rosa Mannion. She has sung as both a member and soloist with the College's esteemed Chamber Choir and performed in many prestigious Venues. She recently performed in the London Festival of Baroque Music in a masterclass with the renowned conductor and organist, Masaaki Suziki. Rosanna was also invited to sing at the launch of the ‘Singing a Song in a Foreign Land’ online resource about musicians who emigrated from Nazi Europe in the 1930’s and 40’s. Rosanna performed Debussy’s ‘Nocturnes’ with the Royal College of Music’s Symphony Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall, a work that she has also sung with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales under the baton of Thierry Fischer. In 2014 she sung for the Royal College of Music’s annual fundraising event ‘Soiree D’Or’ at the V&A Museum. Rosanna recently performed the role of 'Messaggiera' in a production of Monteverdi's 'Orfeo' at The Royal College of Music. She regularly sings in the Bach Cantatas project with the Royal College of Music Baroque Orchestra. From 2011-2012 Rosanna studied at the Academia Europea di Firenze with Susanna Rigacci where she performed regularly as a soloist at the Teatro Comunale and the Basilica di Spirito.
Rosanna was a member of the Royal College of Music Junior Department under Veronica Veysey-Campbell where she was awarded the Vocal prize upon leaving and was the first vocalist to ever reach the finals of the Angela Bull Competition. In 2010 Rosanna won the AESS Catherine Lambert Junior Recital Prize. She was awarded full music scholarships to Lincoln Minster School, Worksop College and Ranby House School where she performed regularly as a soloist in the Cathedrals of Lincoln and York. Rosanna was a member of Cantamus Girls’ Choir where she sung as a soloist in some of the worlds most reputable venues and won two gold medals at the Choral Olympics in Beijing.
