Mexican born tenor, Sergio Augusto, is recognized on stage for his devious flare and charming approach. The Vancouver Project has hailed his captivating performances as "...proof of the timless appeal of pain and misery... a clear highlight of the evening."
He performs regularly as a soloist and in ensemble opera with the different groups, companies and schools of the Lower Mainland. His latest roles include Alfredo in Verdi's timeless 'La Traviata', Rinuccio in Puccini's "Gianni Schicchi" and The Gingerbread Witch in Humperdinck's "Hansel and Gretel".
He has also performed in concerts and Oratorio across Italy, Germany, Austria and Czech Republic. His performance in Mozart's Requiem with Capilano University was reviewed by the Vancouver Observer as "full of vigor, charisma, and infectious enthusiasm.".
Sergio maintained training in the Voice with one of Canada's treasures, Soprano Heidi Klassen, who guided him for years in the way of true sound. With Tenor Frederik Robert, established professional and recognized artist in all musical spheres in Canada. And most recently with legendary Virginia Zeani, Soprano of international status in the golden age of Opera.
