We are recruiting for the 2027 Festival Chorus. Repertoire to be announced week commencing 5 October 2026.
Auditions will be held 12.30-19.30 Sun 1st November and 11.00-18.00 Mon 2nd November at

Please include video links/files of two contrasting arias with your application. Only applications which have at least one good quality video file, recorded within the last 12 months, will be considered.

The contract period is 03 May to 27 June 2027. If we would like to hear you, we will contact you. Please do not contact us for updates on your application.
As part of the casting process, these auditions will be used to cast small roles and covers. Please only apply if you are willing to accept a chorus contract and are available for the audition dates and the full contract period. There will be no stand-alone roles or cover contracts.
We intend to expand opportunities for artist development. In the 2027 season, we will offer individual coaching, a cover showcase at National Opera Studio, cover music extracts on stage, professional development sessions including CV 1-2-1s, headshot offer, coachings, masterclasses and a possible small-scale schools tour in the autumn.
The basic fee for this contract will be £4,600 for eight weeks. Enhancements will apply for covers and small roles.
